Title: Chocolate and Carob.

Also: pure or nearly pure chocolate is a mine of magneasium, zinc and iron.

I have seen mccoy talk about the 'forbidden sweet' - chocolate - quite a few times so I thought i'd look into this a little bit and found there are a lot of health benefits from chocolate so I thought I'd start a thread about it. Carob is often used as a substitute so I included it here.

One treat i never forget that is the little chocolate kisses that Amma gives out as blessings to those who recieve darshan from her. Besides spiritual blessings she also always gives some sort of material blessing and if it is not something else she gives each devotee a small piece of chocalate. No one can understand the blessings of an avatar until they have recieved them directly. If Amma chooses to let you know how she has blessed you... you will never ever forget her gift. She can transform your heart if she chooses.

Steve, I used to avoid chocolate like the devil.  At least, this was the conventional attitude of natural healts buffs.

Even now, I'm not totally convinced it is without cons, although I could not notice distinctive negative effects from its consumption.

It's interesting how great saints like Amma sometimes give a material token together with their blessings, maybe that's a reinforcing link, how matter-bound sense see and taste the token, which is permeated by teh blesings which act on more subtle, matter-free mechanisms.

I'm pretty sure there is a concealed metaphysical law on that, saints must know it.
