Title: Mercy Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Dec 31, 2014 07:46 am I read this on the internet;
Compassion leads you to have mercy, which is like forgiveness. If you have mercy on someone, you let them off the hook or are kind to them somehow. This is a quality that has to do with compassion, forgiveness, and leniency. If convicted of a crime, you might plead for the judge's mercy, meaning a lesser punishment. When people say "May God have mercy on me!" they're asking for forgiveness. Mercy may be given or received. People jokingly say a bad singer is showing mercy if she ends the show early. Recently i was stopped by the DOT i was looking for a place to get my truck weighed but could not find one. I also made a small mistake in my log book. The DOT authorities gave me a 'Warning' instead of a ticket. I am very grateful that the gurus listened to my prayers and gave me mercy. Mercy is a quality that i want to be sure I give to others so i may have it myself when I could be judged harshly. I pray for mercy and that I will give mercy to others. The reason might be that some past lack of mercy from our own side is coming back home. |
