Title: Bhaktananda Meditation 4/3/79 Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Dec 25, 2014 03:37 am BB 28 Bhaktananda Meditation 4/3/79
Master: Meditation is dropping body consciousness, remembering who you are, and coming back and ruling the body. If we are not masters of the body, we are slaves. Meditation leads us to remember our oneness with God. Every time Master spoke on meditation – it was new- these definitions may not even be in the lessons. He did not repeat himself. Meditation: Restoring the consciousness in God Meditation: Is the missing link between the man, church and God We’ve got to have a Divine frame of mind all day. We’ve got to learn. When you pray – use force of will, put the power of devotion in it. Really ask God to be with you in your meditation. Stillness – Master said: “The yogi keeps tuning out restless thoughts” If you have a restless thought, push it out of the mind. ‘Sitting in the Silence’ is a song with Master’s words to an old Harry Lauder song. “When the mind has gone to rest, that’s the time I see Him best” Remember when you meditate you are with God – not in a room. If you feel that you have a lot of work to do, years before you find God, and He is far away – we are finished as far as finding God is concerned. Review these thoughts before you meditate and practice them. God can come in a moment and wipe out all difficulties – He sees the effort we are making. We are not like salesmen, that is, never mind the efforts, a salesman is good if he sells. The emplyer sees his sales, not his efforts. The divine employer is not like that. Like Bakhtananda says, he sees our efforts. He's not just concerned in our sales figures. |
