Title: living in our own head
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Dec 04, 2014 01:49 pm
I think we all have the problem of living in our own heads... though in some people it is more pronounced.

Steve, that's an important insight, sometimes we forget that other individuals have a totally different mental outlook. As a matter of fact, when we see something which looks flawed in the attitude of other people, I believe we should first thing search for that same flaw in ourselves. In such a way, the flaw in the Others will have a double purpose§:

1) If we have it, even in a small degree, we have been reminded that we share that flaw and we should work hard at overcoming that
2) If we don't have it, probably we had it in the past and should be grateful (to God and Gurus) and satisfied (with ourselves) that we have overcome it.

Recently i had this conversation with mccoy. I though it was important so i made a thread out of it. I hope he does not mind.

I don't mind Steve, my belief is that whatsoever thought can be useful should be shared

i think to a great extent we rely on friends to let us know how we are trapped in our own realities. It often takes longer to recognize that our training and God can work through so called enemies as well.  It  often helps to realize how much those around us are living in their own minds when they lash out at us because our views do not conform to their personal life experience and reactions to it.

All these wars and conflicts that are happening around the world and even in our personal world's; It is all a prodi  ct of the mind.
No wonder meditation requires us to get beyond all the trappings of mind.  To break on thru to the other side. Sometimes we find led in.se around us are unfolding with us. Opening up... so to speak. I find that true with those who are communicating regularly with this entity at the portal.

i have also seen those close to me who have brief encounters with higher dimensions return back to their accustomed physical habitat under a compulsion of their habits from the past leaving their spiritual friends and returning to the physical life they are molded in.

I also am getting glimpses of my own rigidity that is keeping me from having a more fluid approach to reality. We/ I  am/are fixed in our own walls of mental confinement.
