She commented yesterday that those who come together with their spiritual family recognize a larger connection they have beyond their immediate family. They recognize the importance of their spiritual family. i often answer people who ask me about my family that my family is now - my spiritual family.

It is difficult to think of Amma living anywhere since she travels to visit everyone around the globe. Although she has many retreats, food kitchens and ashrams around the world she spent much of her early life in southern India and has a hospital, college and ashram there... specifically kerala india. It has been a while and unlike many (not all!) worldly people and circumstances she has never let me down but always picks me up.
