Title: Being Alone
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Apr 29, 2014 01:35 am
I know some of you will look at this thread and say we are not alone since God is with us. Yes that is true. I have created this thread for those of us who often feel tremendously alone in this life whether they are with someone else or not or in a crowd or walking alone.

Sometimes it seems like the most satisfaction I get is when something gives me a 'high'. It can be a person, meditation, something that made someone happy or some kind of art.

Or just a momentary blissful feeling that has no specific recognizable cause.

We must travel long distances in space to reach you at your planet. Much of that time is for the most part spent alone so we have little creatures we take with us. The closest word I can give you in your language___Fuzzies

We never feel alone. I think that's why we got the name. We are barnicles and stick tight throughout the night.

Yeah, you can always talk to yourself.

guess I just needed something more exciting like running through my neighbors gardens stark naked playing an animated scarecrow.

Yeah, you can always talk to yourself.

I find you more interesting and appreciate your presence and communication!

I really believe that providence arranged for me to be alone for long periods in my life. Why? To recieve the blessings, time and discipline of meditation.

Maybe many of you have also noticed that about your lives. At first you think to yourself - i am lonely -but then you recognize that this has happened before and that is why I discovered meditation. We need time alone to find out who we truly are and not what the world and our ego has made us believe we are.

There is a certain type of aloneness at times in this journey to contact God.

But there is also a kind of contentment that overrides it.

I really like your observation Jeff.  That contentment u r speaking of is what makes it all worth while.

Those little 'highs' ARE God.  God winking at you.  The triggers can be found everywhere.  The more we recognize the source, the more obvious they become.  God is very playful.  :)

The time has come to talk
Of most probably anything
It's blasphemy to think
That i would come to wink
At someone quite like you
But if you are perturbed
It's only just a word
so don't let it get to you
Now let me come to show
That i'm the one that knows
The playful little tune
That's going thru your head
And you will come to see
You won't miss a beat
With someone quite like me

I just wish I would be able to keep my thoughts focused on God all day long with whatever happens.

I just wish I would be able to keep my thoughts focused on God all day long with whatever happens.

Me, too.  :)

I have a dear friend who is far older and wiser than I.  He taught me about Practicing the Presence in such a sweet way.  He said it's easy - just start by thanking God for EVERY little pleasure, no matter how small the moment you experience it.  One example he gave was having a bowel movement.  lol!  He said it is a bit of a release - a small pleasure to be able to have a bowel movement, right?  So when you do, thank God - in the moment!  To this day, I cannot use the bathroom without thinking about God.  Maybe you will think of Him each time you use the toilet now, too!  Ha ha.  I go through dry spells that can last months or even years, but once I start noticing the little things again, they are everywhere.  Soon you find yourself thinking, "Oh, wow! Look at those beautiful trees!  Thank you for the trees, Lord!  Thank you for the sky!"  Then you see Him in people on the street.  I used to mentally tap stranger's heads in cars as they sped past.  "That person!  Thank you God for that person!  Bless you, strange person!"  Thank You for the colors, thank You for the words.  Thank You for the happy sound rice makes when it hits the bottom of the pot, and the way it smells while steaming. Thank You for the steam!  How precious is that?  Water turned to gas.  Amazing!  It can become addictive.  Then once you start to feel that amazing gratitude, it really is an ongoing, active love story.  The same way you think of a human being you might be enamored with - how everything around you reminds you of them in some way - God is like that, only better.  You can fall in love with God.  <3

     Master's Smile

    His eyes uphold a universe;
    my Master’s face in dreamscapes -
    spreading love with smiles instead of hands.

    Unbearably bright, he beams elation;
    visage crinkling in bliss - and I tumble!
    Rising in laughter, too happy to see.

    No one dies in Master’s gaze,
    nor ages, becomes ill or pounds the ground with
    selfish fists, screaming “Dear Lord what next?”

    For there is no earth in His domain, and
    tears are remembered with gay amusement;
    tiny drops of God that once wet our cheeks.

    His smile never says ‘I love you’ -
    there is no ‘I’ nor ‘you’ within this view;
    buoyantly aware he shares, “We ARE love!”

    And I hear his smile louder than thought;
    above familial good-byes and friendly praise,
    breathlessly listening in tune.

    Oh, His eyes reflect Reality!
    My Master’s face in dreamscapes -
    spreading love with smiles instead of hands.

We are lucky we have our health that's for sure,

Just today I was feeling a colander with my fingertips and it's amazing how we can watch and feel the pattern at the same time, no one will ever be able to build a human from scratch and perform this simple task.
