Title: Manifesting
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Apr 05, 2014 03:57 am
I remember a good friend used to say: 'Don't manifest.' It was at times i would say/ think something that did not seem good/positive. I would say there is a lot to this concept of manifesting.

Lately I am anticipating some good things happening. I suppose this type of manifesting is best. There is a prayer that i say right before eating. It goes:

God bless this food.
Make it holy.
Let no thought of greed defile it.
It comes from thee.
It is to maintain thy temple.
Spiritualize it.
Spirit to spirit it goes.
We are petals of thy manifestation
Thou art the whole flower,
all life and all lovingness.
Permeate our being
with loveliness and beauty.

I think it came from one of Yogananda's prayers.
Anyhow isn't that a powerful manifesting...
to manifest that we are petals of God's manifestation.

I remember Yogananda saying that through our thoughts we send out energy. Thoughts are things because they create things. They create our reality. What is interesting to me is that eventually all we think we can manifest and we will if we have certain thoughts long enough. When our thoughts have the added power of God's blessings they have increased power to manifest. The question is this: Do we really want what we think? What will it be like when we get it? Any better? This is what keeps us from being in the now. The constant desire for something else.

Hi Steve. It has been a while. Sorry I haven't been able to return your call. I'm glad to see you posting within this thread again.
 :)

Gives one a lot to think about...

What do you wish to manifest ?

hmmmmm

i wish that question had a simple reply.

What i have noticed is the more i feel God's presence the happier I am no matter if I'm tired, have issues and problems or what. So i would say the most important manifestation is to have the presence of God. Because  in this world there will always be problems but when we feel love and bliss the problems seem to be placed in their proper perspective. I was very exhausted physically speaking today. It was a strange feeling because while this body needed rest I felt this bliss from practicing the presence a lot today. It crept into my consciousness and made me feel very good despite the messages from this body.

So now; it's your  turn. What do you wish to manifest?

Was the last line of the prayer: 'permeate our beings with the fragrance of thy presence'? Maybe there are more than one rendition of it.

I've got an idea about the manifestation. I agree that the # 1 manifestation  would be  St. Francis' 'overcoming oneself'.
As Steve says, overcoming one's mood, tiredness, negative feelings, anger, desires and so on. It isn't easy.

What I'm going to do propose is to go on with regular reports here. Manifestation reports. Something like:

Today I was able to overcome myself 10%
Today I wasn't able to overcome, because of this and that. We may learn either from positive and negative experiences.

I don't know if it is good to continue in this thread or start another. The decision to the administrator

i like your ending of the prayer for now because it brings God's presence into our eating as well.
