His teacher is Reginald Ray of Dharma Ocean ~ see http://www.dharmaocean.org/ There are some good exercises and suggestions for practice on the web site and I recommend a visit. I plan to attend more guided meditations with Jake. It is no. 03 of the audio sessions on the page. You'll be lying down for this one. Lie on a blanket. I like to use a thin pillow or a couple inches of books under my head - to keep my spine on a continuous level. Have your feet flat on the floor about shoulder width apart, and let your knees fall towards each other and support each other. Let your hands rest on your abdomen comfortably. The 10 points practice is so relaxing that you may fall asleep, as I did, drifting in and out... |
