Title: Too many sections Post by: brock on Jan 18, 2014 10:30 am This is just a friendly suggestion. This forum has too many sections. It is hard to navigate. I would like to see it have less sections and be more condensed. However, it is just my opinion. So it is up to you. I like this forum otherwise I would not bother making a suggestion.

Thanks Brock which sections would you eliminate or condense? Title: Re: Too many sections Post by: brock on Jan 18, 2014 11:05 am I don't know, really. You have 14 sections, I would at least divide by two. But I am just speaking for myself, I can't speak for anyone else's user experience. Like I said, I am pretty lazy.

You can speak for yourself as much as you like as long as no one slanders others. ;) >:( i have given thought to this idea before.... just haven't figured out what to let go.. I think the site is fine just the way it is!! :) Comet Title: Re: Too many sections Post by: brock on Jan 20, 2014 07:43 pm I guess I am shown to be lazy! Why did they mail you in private? Am I going to get angry because they disagree? :D
I don't see how you all can manage to sift through all of this stuff. With 206 members on this forum, how can all of these topics be constantly filled? One will never know what to check for something up to date. This means a higher chance that you are reading an expired post. On the positive side, everyone will know exactly where to go for whatever topic they are looking for. They may not be reading up-to-date material, but it will be more specified and easier to find topically. So we are quite small compared to that. But i have taken your advice and put many sections as sub headings under larger settings to make it easier to navigate. You can go to the larger headings and if you want something more specific you can go to 'child of'. i still have some work to do. It is nice to have feedback! Title: Re: Too many sections Post by: brock on Jan 25, 2014 12:15 am 78 topics!? Yikes. I could never make it there.
Title: Re: Too many sections Post by: guest88 on Jan 28, 2014 07:45 pm one of the nicest things about this forum is the freedom we have to discuss openly and even get in a heated argument without having to worry to much if our words get deleted- if things become obscene then yes moderators and administrators take appropriate action- however, a heated debate is always left open for discussion... the freedom to express extreme opposing ideas is welcomed... this place is nice 8)))
Title: Re: Too many sections Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jan 28, 2014 11:32 pm i decided to add some more sections for Brock. Some of them would be called You, Me , and The Other Guy.
Sometimes it's difficult to know who we are talking about... so this would make it clearer. Then some more topics could be: Now, Then, Sometime Before, or Never After. In this way there would be no confusion as to time. In the same way we could have topics like: Here, There or Anywhere. Of course this would make it more clear for all ! What do you think Brock? Title: Re: Too many sections Post by: guest88 on Jan 29, 2014 12:04 am Don't forget to add the contemplative sections of the forum accordingly:
Perhaps maybe sometimes never and- Always everytime never again but maybe one more time Thanks. Title: Re: Too many sections Post by: Beatrice Landcaster on Jan 29, 2014 02:59 pm Ya'al should have a section on starlit nights down by the catfish path, grasshopper stew that ma used to make and cajun food recipes. It would rattle yo hide. |
