Title: The Great Bell Chant and The End of Suffering Post by: Serena Duvet on Jan 02, 2014 11:55 am Let Us Begin 2014 with Beauty and Wisdom.
I take in the simple beauty of this video and am moved by it, as I know you will be moved. We take refuge in the Buddha, in Dharma, and in the Sangha (community). In my own life I take refuge in the beauty of the world, in my work, and in my family of friends. I have reverence for our human potential, and awe for the heights humanity The words, “the end of suffering,” make my eyes fill with tears. I am tired of unnecessarily suffering. What is good for us all is loving and being loved; doing the work we love; and loving this beautiful world and this difficult yet glorious life. I wish you peace. I wish you love. I wish you a very happy New Year. http://vimeo.com/6518109 Title: Re: The Great Bell Chant and The End of Suffering Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jan 02, 2014 07:09 pm Let Us Begin 2014 with Beauty and Wisdom. Thanks for sharing your beautiful video. I listened to it once but will do so again. I think your interest in Buddhism is quite wonderful. I have never really lost interest in Buddhism. I just don't have others around me to support that interest. Yet we seem to support each others interest in art, music and the spiritual quest. I hope our friendship and contact continues into the next year. You have given me tremendous support in my own creativity. I think of you almost every time I play the song 'Fine Feathered Friends' and all the animal totems we encountered in Topanga Canyon which inspired the song. That was a unique period in our life in an island community near the ocean but set apart from Los Angeles congestion. We will always remember each other and that time in our lives especially the nature of the Canyon....Eagle Rock, Red Rock and Topanga State Park. i enjoyed many nature places (and eating places) you showed me around Venice Beach as well; where i meditated and practiced spiritual exercises. Some of the animal totems came from your artistic contribution....
