Will Amma speak about deities?

Amma (Swami translates her words) says energy and consciousness are one. The sages gave a deity for every kind of energy. The earth has a form and a deity.. there is a deity that bestows children. The true motive is to go beyond all forms. Wood forms a desk or a chair etc. But the wood is the same. The sages created all these deities so at the same time we cannot ignore these forms. If water is in a blue bottle or a green one it looks that way. If it is in a plate the water looks like the plate. Water takes the form of the plate. In form you are a wife or a husband. To a friend you are a friend,The actor remains the actor despite his many roles. Amma says the end result is the same:

When you play guitar you hear through the strings. In the Flute or Sax we control the air. The singer who sings beautifully may say that it comes through the throat. But if you look in the glottis will you see music? The music comes from somewhere else. That source from which one has mastered the various notes and can handle notes with so much command is the same source from which a Master draws.  In the same way the Master has mastered the laws of the universe.


After thought...

I am sorry that I could not get down every word she said because she answers swiftly and spontaneously with no perceivable thought. As though the answers to every question she takes is already there in a universal mind: That of a Master.

The goal is to get to the source and realize everything is one. All the various forms exist in the formless. There is a water in ice and and steam. There is ice and steam in water. There is  divinity that exists in all these forms- in Christ, Buddha and Krishna.

When we use the muscles of the mouth all the muscles must function otherwise you can not close your mouth. It is by grace that all these muscles work. Everything is within the form.  If you believe it to be in you.... it will be there.
