Title: meditation masters Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Nov 23, 2013 03:10 pm What i find helpful about the Masters is that they have given us techniques to absorb ourselves in during meditation. Both Amma and Yogananda have given us helpful ways to see the lite, hear the cosmic sound of om and observe the slowing down of the breath and the feeling of peace that comes as result. They have given us helpful physical/spiritual exercises as well that help calm the body and mind for the preparation for meditation.
i especially like the kriya and om techniques. Babaji gave us the kriya technique which withdraws the conciousness inward into inner realms of being and works off karma (actions from the past) that stunt our spiritual attainment. i find Amma's 'i am' technique very relaxing and i look forward to their calming affects. The mindfulness training of the Buddhist masters is something that has helped me tremendously to get a better awareness of what i am experiencing in the world around me and my reactions to others. i find myself often expressing gratitude to the Masters for showing me there is much more to life than this physical creation. It is sad to see other people lost in their material lives when there is so much more to life and existance! i have noticed that those beings around me who are making this spiritual effort do not have some of the negative attitudes about other people and their life situations. It would be nice to have others share there experiences with masters and meditation. Title: Re: meditation masters Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Nov 25, 2013 12:32 am Soon I will b in the physical presence of a meditation master. I will b sharing my experiences with her this week. I am fortunate to have a friend who has had recent dreams of two meditation masters. Being in the physical presence is one thing but to have the meditation masters in your consciousness in various ways is quite a blessing. Jitendra |
