Title: Mother Post by: Serena Duvet on May 12, 2013 11:36 am Mother, I think of you almost every day. It's been 7 1/2 years since your death, departure, transformation.
I wish we'd had more time together; I miss you so. Thank you for opening my eyes to beauty and my ears to music. I am forever grateful for the cultural gifts that you gave me. X X O O I will always love you. It is obvious that your appreciation of music and beauty came from somewhere influencially speaking. I think sometimes in the past I wished too much out of my parents. Compared to the complaints I hear from many people I consider I was quite fortunate. So like you, I' m thinking it is a good day to express my gratitude. I also think we need to look at ourselves and see if and when we let down our parents. Eventually we learn that our conscience reviews everything. We knock it back with all the escape routes; pills, drinks, cigs and other distractions. Yet it returns especially when we work on ourselves or as a matter of of increasing importance when we leave the shores of this life and would like to move on. I would like to thank the women in my life who have expressed divine mothers love towards me. I do not know the artist but I especially like the candles. They remind me of years back, when I was young, with my first experiences with meditation, gazing into a candle. Then closing my eyes and concentrating on the image in my inner awareness.
