Title: Amma speaks about Fate. Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 21, 2012 05:36 pm for the most part we have abolished slavery.
yet we still have slavery to external objects. this is internal slavery. it helps to develop awareness to end the rule of negative feelings and thoughts. instead of us being the masters and mind being the slave the opposite is true. Fate is like a seed; it grows into actions. When thoughts continue they become desire. Desire works into action. A seed must go below the ground. Seeds do not grow into action if we are aware of them taking place. when we attach ourselves to god we detach ourselves from unwanted desires. many people say that everything happens by divine grace. yet if someone lays down a ring and forgets where they put it they will look for it everywhere. After a time they give up relax and lay down. Then they remember where they put it. Yet it was still the result of all the searching and effort that helped them find it. there is a delay between actions and their results. many people do things like stealing rape and murder but it does not seem to come back however it does come back at an unexpected time and place. our consciousness is like a tape recorder we can not escape from our conscious. karma is an experience we may not be able to analyze no matter how much we try. some of us come into this life and have made good deposits in the bank of our karma. Others in this life have taken out loans they will have to repay those loans. Death is just like putting a period at the end of a sentence. all our actions should bring happiness to others. sometimes we feel as though out spiritual effort is not making any progress. usually we give up when we have made 1 or2 tries. although each action will definitely help us on the spiritual path. when we plant a tree it is going to be sometimes 5 years before it can come up and manifest. In the same way our spiritual effort is making progress even though we might not always see it at first. Title: Re: Amma speaks about Fate.
