Today in history he turned his body around three times, faced north, and consciously left his body, entering mahasamadhi. Lahiri Mahasaya died on September 26, 1895 In 1861 Babaji brought Kriya yoga back to the world by giving the technique to Lahiri Mahasaya who disseminated it to his disciples and asked that it may given to all sincere seekers of God. It had been lost in the dark ages and its return could have very possibly been the first return of the great technique of liberation given back to mankind since the higher ages thousands of years before. Days like this are auspicious and marked with blessings to those who are receptive. Keeping thoughts towards one such as this,especially on days like this when there is celebration in the higher realms also, can bring blessings to us. A moment of clarity, happiness amid confusion and answers to our prayers are some of the many possibilities today brings. Jitendra |
