Title: Swami's Meditation with Amma Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 27, 2011 01:31 pm Amma's 'I Am' technique is taught at her retreats. The golden orb of the Sun is a common theme and is seen by many during the I am practice. Also energies r brought up the spine similar to the Kriya technique of Paramahansa Yogananada. Since i am not a teacher it is not for me to reveal the techniques.
However; this is a guided meditation that Swami gives at many of Ammas' Satsangs (divine talks) with the public. i found this guided meditation and prayer very opening to the heart and its' heart felt devotion. Chant om 3x Breath normally but consciously with awareness. Now with every in going breath let us feel the strong vibration of the sound 'Ma'. Similarly, with every outgoing breath focus on the strong pulsation of the vibration of the sound 'om'. Continue the practice for some time. As a blossom opens to the Sun; So our heart opens to the universe. Slowly as we go deep into the sound, the sound culminates with a deep stillness and profound peace. Let us now pray to mother for her grace; I am blind and ignorant. This child does not know anything about the darkness of this world and its' objects. Even though I am in your arms mother never let me fall down. Oh most compassionate mother hold me close to you and never let me alone. Keep me in your arms. In this world remain within me. Now let us pray for the world and the people in it. om lukah samastha sukhinu bhavantu. (May all beings be happy) Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om Jitendra Title: Re: Swami's Meditation with Amma Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Dec 30, 2021 05:47 pm Breathe deeply but naturally.. Check posture. Amma’s meditation most frequently is to be started with chanting OM 3x and feeling the vibration of the sound in all your body cells. On the inhalation’s imagine the sound MA to the top of your head vibrating there in every cell. Then chant OM and bring your breath out. Pause and feel a profound silence. Imagine the sound OM pulsating to the top of your head as you experience an inner awakening. Alternating in this way. When breathing in, there is an inner awakening and while breathing out a profound silence. Amma says this practice will keep us alert and aware. |
