Title: Amma on Meditation Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 16, 2011 08:52 pm Meditation is as just as precious as gold. A meditative mind is necessary for spirituality. If we tell our thoughts to stop; Will they? Yet it is from a still mind that many wonderful discoveries are found. As thought decreases we begin to resemble the universal mind. Such a stilled mind becomes a mirror for the universal mind to reflect in..... inspired by Amma's thoughts on meditation.

have a good one Title: Re: Amma on Meditation Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jul 06, 2011 11:53 am thanks steve for sharing the inspiration have a good one i was quite fortunate to see her Eric. It is hard to describe; the presence of a human being who manifests so much of God's love and compassion. Only action performed with an attitude of selflessness can take u deeper in meditation. i have learned a lot more about seva (service) thru Amma's guidance. There r many hidden blessings in serving. Outwardly it looks like work but inwardly it changes u. Suddenly u begin to drop the attitude that work is drudgery and u gain this perspective that u r not working for yourself but you r involved in God's divine plan. Many times it has nothing to do with changing or helping others. It is just that since u r able to work for a Master u seem to find more fulfillment out of service. The next step is to see that your seva, in work for earning a living, is in actuality working for humanity and God's divine plan. That is the main goal. It is has taken me years to experience this but slowly my consciousness is changing and getting used to the idea. They think that they can experience or gain that state in a few days, and when it doesn't happen, their enthusiasm slowly disappears. Constant and sincere practice is needed. - Amma (Awaken, Children! V.2 Pg. 9) |
