Title: Amma on Love Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 16, 2011 12:58 am In this world love is based on selfishness. We love the cow because it gives us milk. If it does not give us milk we may then butcher the cow. There is a story about a king who had a bad heart. He asked his people if anyone would be willing to donate theirs to him. Everyone raised their hand. So he decided to drop a feather from a balcony where he was speaking. When the feather landed on an individual that person would donate their heart. He noticed though that the feather kept drifting through the crowd of people. By closer observation he recognized that each individual was blowing the feather so it would not land on them. In reality we are alone in this life only the insurance man will be truly sad when we die.
