After a lovely visit to Huntington Library and Gardens, and at the location of our picnic, I was bitten by a very large German Shepherd. Now I will have an interesting scar, just outside of, and almost following all the way around, the right aureola. Morphine really works, by the way, and I got my first I.V. The stitches come out Tuesday after next, according to the plastic surgeon who did the stitching. Although it was a very unfortunate experience (a seemingly nice dog whose owner I had a conversation with for at least 10 minutes suddenly lunged and bit me once very hard) I felt blessed that Steve was with me, no one else was at the Emergency room in the hospital (kind of unheard of, wouldn't you say?), the doctor and the plastic surgeon he sent for (not at my request) were both very old and experienced, and the place and the nurses were quite nice. Now as long as it doesn't get infected (I was tremendously worried about that) and if the dog's owner would pay the medical bills, I will be quite happy... Thanks again... The wound has stopped seeping and the plastic surgeon said that the scars will thicken and then smooth and after about nine months be barely visible. Thanks for all your prayers. One rose is still glorious. Thank you, Steve. Serena Title: Re: Serena Duvet Post by: weboflife on Mar 21, 2011 12:24 pm Prayers for you, Serena.
