Title: The roles we play/spiritual evolution
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jul 20, 2010 01:44 pm
It is an interesting concept but true; When we start to change others are used to us in the roles we have played before. We often must recognize that we as spiritual beings are evolving and changing as those around us are often not. You may find that others do not accept you in your changing roles. But they will keep playing old out grown roles that may no longer have a functional purpose accept that they are evolving very slow. It becomes sometimes difficult for us to accept our 'new clothing' when our dearest ones like to see us in our 'old habits and clothes'.

They may even discontinue communication with us or shun us in other ways. The awareness of this process is helpful and often assists us being open to new habits and as a result new circumstances and people that come into our lives.

note: this thread goes well with; Others: The Will to Change under the category; Spiritual Guides which was started by Eric and Namaste2All had an excellent response. i started a new thread here because i feel that the roles we play in life and those that were cast for us play an important part in our circumstances and where we find ourselves in this cosmic drama. It also is a significant factor in making changes and having the will to do so. Just being aware of this can help us go on into new territory despite the conditions and detrimental influences that we let hold us back which often still surround us.

Thanks Ann and Eric

It is suprising how much others hold on to the images and characterizations they have given us. But we are also willing to live with these ghosts in our awareness.

i have found that it is not as always as easy as doing; this concept of putting into practice letting go of others associated with our past. Sometimes the best course of action is to cultivate positive relationships in the now. These counter the the psychological antiques we hold in the museum of our consciousness.

If we find ourselves walking thru a museum of artifacts from the past-that no longer suit present circumstances- perhaps we should look at the spotlite of our awareness. There are many other angles and picture shows in this cinema house. We can just walk out of one for a while and enter the room of another. That is a definate advantage of having this cosmic holographic forum!

The cosmic holographic forum has missed you secret squirrel. Your lightheartedness is an essential part of our little home away from home. On what tree branch have you been wondering?

We all play a special and unique role that no one else can play. i seriously doubt that God sizes up the importance of the roles we play but yet he needs us very much in the role he has given us. He needs us to play out the divine drama; just like this place is just not the same with you away Anne.

By any other name would smell as sweet

Just missed your presence;thus you were lost to us in time. i was born under cancer too you know!  We are in touch with our past quite a bit. Sometimes it's hard to remember that we are here now and everything is so different. Takes a while to adjust and find our place among present friends and circumstances. There are new limitations and also new challenges as we get ever closer to our divine awareness.

Indeed.  The river of spirit and the current of society do seem to push in opposing directions sometimes.  It is easy to let one's self get lost in the flow of one and lose course in the other.

Insightful Lucky. The pressures of society often have the results of finding us in untenable situations which divorce us; not from the partners and situations that we have chosen but rather the spiritual and love choices that lie before us when we are receptive to their influences. This too is why we were born with those weaknesses and at this time and in this era. So that we 'see' what we create in our choices and to make choices that coincide with our highest spiritual interests instead of the pressures we succumb to by family,'friends' and societies ignorance. Some of us are able to see our higher purpose in helping others along... going beyond the 'traps' that lie before them and they have found themselves victim too.

People who engage in or support iconoclasm are called "iconoclasts", a term that has come to be applied figuratively to any person who challenges established dogma or conventions. This is a role we often find ourselves playing in this era which is divorced from the flow of spiritual and creative changes that are the mark of loving choices.

sometimes a 'life-preserver'/encouragement to keep swimming, comes in the form of Love.  Love is expressed thru action and words/posts.  thank you...

Love is also expressed thru being. These, people like yourself r rich with being. To those who exemplify love it is easy to reciprocate. The challenge lies in giving love to those who do not reciprocate. The course of the life of Christ was the most significant to me of following the river of spirit instead of the current of society. The human intellect can not even begin to fathom the depth of that kind of love. He followed the current of spirit to his physical death ignoring the current of society.

Title: what to be passionate for?
Post by: guest88 on Sep 28, 2011 10:55 am
i'm confused
in past threads we've discussed ego and challenges such as, 'removing the seed of desire'
we've discussed the difference between the spiritual and material. although i still have some questions here... like, are the spirit and body really two separate things ?
but not to drift
coming back to this thread has been very helpful and your original post is very insightful. i wanted to bump this thread and pose the question... what are some ways to manifest spiritual fulfillment ? there's nothing wrong with desire i feel like it's fuel for the soul. the only way to nourish the idea is in the pursuit of your passions right ? even if that means life pops the bubble that is the ego or takes one through an emotional ride... when that happens, i hope to learn from it... but am so blind sometimes... want to change, how to cultivate that feeling and be stronger. i'm actually trying to cut some passions now and didn't realize how much my conditioning is challenging this new idea but at the same time feel like i'm becoming OK with things i might not have been or contemplating on things i want to be passionate for. what is this game- is it a game? yes and no- am i unfolding through out the process- WHATS GOING ON the answers are never enough, knowledge doesn't seem to pacify the cravings- so it makes me question- what are these cravings and reflect- what to be passionate for ! ?
sdfkjsfd agh i've created knots for no reason when i should just be happy playing in heaven- perception ?
