The president and vice president must be impeached for torture to American citizens and disobeying the Constitution. Title: Re: The President and Vice President must be impeached Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jul 21, 2026 06:43 pm BREAKING: Trump's former lawyer says his election speech was a pretext to claim emergency powers and steal the midterms! Donald Trump's former White House lawyer Ty Cobb is accusing the president of using last week's primetime election speech to lay the groundwork for an extraordinary and undemocratic maneuver to undermine the 2026 midterm elections and retain his majority. Speaking to PBS, Cobb said Trump's claims about election fraud and foreign interference were not really about relitigating 2020. Instead, he argued, they were intended to create a justification for actions that could reshape how the next election is conducted. "Tonight's speech is intended to add the predicate that he needs to declare an emergency at or about the time of the elections," Cobb said. Cobb claimed that Trump allies have already been signaling what could come next. "As you know, Steve Bannon and Todd Blanche have suggested that there will be ICE agents at the polls. I think that's a virtual certainty." The administration could also use election-security claims as a justification for seizing voting equipment or taking other extraordinary measures, Cobb said. "Anything that allows them to try to seize voting machines, as Trump wanted to do in 2020..." Cobb, who served as a White House attorney during Trump's first term, argued that the guardrails that restrained some of Trump's impulses in his first administration are largely gone. He pointed to the departures of senior officials who previously pushed back on proposals they viewed as reckless or improper. "I think you will see him doing everything he can to try to prevent the peaceful transfer of power, the election of Democrats, and do whatever he can to remain in power and keep his cronies in power,” he believes. The White House has tried to spin Trump's reheating of the long-debunked claims about election fraud and foreign interference as a major national security warning, but Ty Cobb’s not buying it and neither are we. The speech wasn’t about the last election at all. It was a pretext for what comes next. Buckle up. |
