I have found using different environments are helpful in my meditation. It keeps me alert and refreshed about meditation. I know that others may feel different and  I do have my preferences. Like two places high up in the dune’s overlooking Lake Michigan and other places along the White River. Although it is not always possible to drive to these places.

Sometimes I’ll meditate in the shower. Or in the winter in the snow or after swimming or jogging. I have found all these various changes helpful in keeping my alertness sharp and my awareness steady and in the now.

Sometimes I’ve noticed comfort makes a difference meditating. Are we comfortable? I mean if it’s a nice breezy day there is nothing like sitting under a big tree and meditating.
