Steve, just one detail. Had Biden refused the support to Israel, the jews in America would have voted, almost everyone, for Trump. So, what would have been worse, to support Israel or to support the possibility to have Trump back as POTUS? Provided of course he manages to avoid big troubles after the recent verdict.
I often revisit certain lines of thought seeing if my initial perspective seemed correct to me. In this case I will say that there are sometimes that an opportunistic view can often be of service. And I do think that Biden is a hard core manipulative negotiator, seeking to satisfy everyone rather than certain principles. Whether that is right in the long run is a topic beyond the scope of my present understanding. Is it right to sacrifice certain long term goals and principles to justify stopping a certain cause or outcome that seems more dangerous? And dangerous to who? Shouldn’t we consider the effects to all people? It seems very challenging to assess such outcomes, and I’m not sure it is possible.
It seems probable that Yogananda himself faced such enigmas when he for instance complimented a man on his initial policies, that later proved to be a man that supported evil outcomes; Mussolini. The same can be said of Jesus, with Judas, though the end result appeared to be favorable to Christians.
Does the end justify the means? Hmmm 🤔 If it does we may have a lot more people doing cruel acts thinking their acts will bring a good outcome. Or is this delusional thinking? It is a strange thing about answers to questions. Sometimes the questions that precipitate answers provide more insight then the resulting answers themselves.
