I don’t recall ever having the impression that you have attacked my character Eric. I also am not aware of doing that to you. Yet we are here to gain awareness and support in becoming better spiritual aspirants.
I see you as a lover of God and a practicer of spiritual disciplines, that is attempting to help others in their spiritual unfoldment while receptive to learning yourself. I know that Marianne Williamson is a pastor and wrote several books. I haven’t seen a spiritual leader also involved in politics in our nation, so I went to see her. I think Robert Kennedy has a lot of experience at legal matters and appears to have taken a life long commitment to helping the middle class and breaking down obstacles among people.
Marianne Williamson has also taken a strong stand about the economic disparities in the United States. I have just started taking an interest in Marianne. I saw her in Detroit and asked her a question about are government coverups and she did say that there are still many good people in this country, and mentioned that Julian Assauge should be pardoned. She has written many spiritual self help books and was noticed by Oprah, which helped catapult her to national fame. I am aware of her because she had huge crowds of people attending her church services.
As you know conventional Christianity has never really impressed me. Yet I have found isolated cases in for instance ‘Episcopal’, ‘Unity’ and other more tolerant Christian groups that even have some meditation. Both my Mother and and Father were involved quite a bit with Christian churches and my physical family had strong interests in the Christian community. Although being a minister in itself is no sign of spirituality we’ve had ministers in the recent family tree. And there are also some Christian friends that I’ve been blessed to have in life. So I’m now also interested in her and her journey through life and what she offers to the world.
