I am using an iPhone presently and do not see ‘show unread posts’ or ‘show new replies’ all I see presently is at the bottom of the site under ‘forum stats; ‘view the most recent posts’.

Yes, the format may be different as viewed from phones, I see those links under the 'Hello mccoy' welcome.
