I also wonder about the notions of consciousness you have recently provided. If indeed the third dimension is limited to a linear notion of time…..It may be that time does not even take place in our notion of how it should. In fact what happened during the time of for instance, William the Conqueror can not be seen in the same way that may be perceived by a person living a 5 D existence. In other words the century we are living in could be perceived as a different movie theater we are seeing than one with for instance Jesus living. But do they have to be connected in a linear fashion of time? Are there beings that can slip in and out of different time frames periods, that they do not see exhibiting the notion of linear time at all?

I wasn't sure where to reply to this, because it's all connected. I have a thread about 4D, and yet the thread with Paramahansa Yogananda was about past lives- curiously enough, the original topic here kind of elaborates more on your reply.
I am laying in bed this morning, in conversation with my self about the very topic.
The way I think I understand it... First and foremost... Is I am using the words additional dimensions because higher dimensions seems a little misleading. I think people confuse the word higher with going UP but additional dimensions implies what is not ordinarily perceived AROUND and moves WITHIN and exist OUTSIDE. Just some ideas here friends.
So I think time is the 4D, and we do not perceive time as a physical manifestation. We experience it linearly because our 3D experience is linear. Yet time exist entirely whole, past-present and future. The example I was recently provided is like going down a river. The river is time, but our experience is limited in that we have to go down the river. But what is behind us is still an active river. What waits ahead of us, is already there.
So now we think of these additional dimensions and I ask where does it all come from- I think all is consciousness. And consciousness does not solely reside in our brain. Mystics do not equate the MIND as their BRAIN.
We get confused here thinking additional dimensions means experiencing physical manifestation in a manner we're accustomed. But I think these additional dimensions mean experiencing consciousness with axis or geometric space we do not ordinarily perceive. I think these, "higher dimensions" people refer to can be sensed in meditations, NDE's, OBE's, and we learn not as a separate entity but WITH something that seems both WITHIN and AROUND us.
I think this is why "Self-Realization" is beautiful terminology and very fitting.
