Reaching out to others.

i do not think many people believe the significance of spiritual friendship. Nor do they actively develop it. It is more then an exchange of ideas but rather an exchange of spiritual energy. PY said that environment and the company you keep are of paramount importance. Yet we cannot be good friends if we do not share with those around us. It is remarkable that many seekers live in the isolation of their own spiritual development not realizing that spirituality is based on expansion of consciousness. This includes reaching out to others.

There's an old saying 'don't judge lest ye be judged.' When we fall into that trap we loose touch with our spirit and with others. Yet i believe we all have done it myself included.  This is an observation i have made about reaching out towards others. We often carry our baggage with us which makes it difficult to connect with those we meet or are close to.

Occasionally I get an appreciation of all the various people in my like and find meaning and purpose in our interactions. Sometimes I feel live for everyone I’ve had the privilege to learn from and to be motivated to be a better person because of the things their souls have told me, both good and bad. In the ultimate sense it is all useful fo our development as spiritual beings. That is the reason we are given such lessons.
