on the way home today i noticed three crows fighting off a hawk. it seems our neighborhood is chock-full of crow nest. the hawk being of larger stature was only slightly placed off its course by the three crows, who in a coordinated effort would peck at him one by one. the synchronization was mesmerizing. the hawk was fearless, the crows in the end successfully warded away the hawk and not shortly after i heard the calling out of a baby crow from its nest.

i think  of the community aspect of the crow, the intelligence, and the ability to face great challenges together.

so they live another day.
