I Always enjoyed meditating in the Woods or in the mountains, I agree that's conducive to a good meditation, providing there are not many bugs around. I remember I was meditating in a wood, cross-legged against a tree trunk, I was not meditating deeply so some commotion made me open my eyes and I saw a wild boar running right against me. I stood up alarmed and it deviated its course, probably saw me just then.
I think those who meditated in the Woods have some funny story to tell. Another time I remember it was so relaxing in this mountain meadow that I just fell asleep. I also meditated in caves, in the deepest darkness and that's pretty nice as well. Meditating on the snow with freezing temperatures is also great.
Many times i have meditated and had Christians interrupt me to 'Save me'. I have listened to everything they have to say over and over again and genuinely believe they are part of the problems we are now encountering in the middle east. These people are just as fanatical as some of the Moslems. They will not respect your spiritual beliefs and feel it their mission to make you into their image.
Mccoy just listening to your experiences inspires me to sit and interiorize going for that inner peace which brings consciousness of purpose and crystal clear expansive perceptions in regards to circumstances and events happening around us. All becomes clearer and the purpose of events around us become clearer.
An example is that recently i have been stopped by cops for log book violations. They were more or less warnings. Later the company I work for had a full investigation. Though my records were checked they found nothing incriminating. Though the company had many violations. As it has been said; God works in mysterious ways. A bit of a precognitive warning of sorts.
