Thanks Steve.
I've heard this somewhere before.. =)
Love really simplifies things, doesn't it? And so does the realization of our mortality.

We can lose ourselves helping others…. We can lose ourselves being in love with others.
So I just wonder about love most of my waking hours. How does it arise? How can I nourish it? Where does it arise? And can we be emerged in it?
I’m just chasing after dreams. But still in me is a longing to find that divine love that once tasted, leaves an unquenchable desire to taste of its nectar again and again. I see many people who have karma that saddens me. They are seeking, seeking, seeking, but though they say it’s for something more it is often for the acquisition of more ‘things’ or more money. They really have not begun the search for something deeper that goes beyond material satisfaction. But it is something we must all go through; the slow relinquishing of our desires to make room for something more expansive.

“Don't mix with others too closely. Friendships do not satisfy us unless they are rooted in mutual love for the Lord. Our human wish for loving understanding from others is in reality the soul's desire for unity with God. The more we seek to satisfy that desire outwardly, the less likely we are to find the Divine Companion.”
~ Paramahansa Yogananda

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love is everything we have no needs when we experience love.

I have actually experienced love and it is something that is inside us. The more we connect with it the more we have the capacity to love others and love ourselves. Meditation and service to others can help us experience love.
Some people ask; ‘ Are you ready for a serious relationship?’ I’ve been in a ‘serious relationship’ most my life . It is a serious relationship with spirit or you can call it God if you choose. It requires a serious commitment to a life of truth and kindness.

Others we have met and spent time with have not been so kind and loving. We have a choice in our lives to choose to be with the people and in the places where we can develop those qualities in others and in ourselves.
